Here are three easy ways to build your motivation:

1. Set a weight loss goal for two weeks or a month. Setting a longer goal may backfire. A month is long enough for you to see real progress. Within that time, you will gain energy and motivation – you’ll feel lighter and more energetic and have new confidence, which will motivate you to continue;

2. Go for a walk every day. Even a ten-minute walk can make all the difference to your emotional outlook and motivation;

3. Drink plenty of water, and eat fruit for your between-meals snacks. Digestion takes a lot of energy, and when you substitute healthy snacks for junk food, you’ll feel better – and motivated.
