If you’ve got a special even coming up, and you’re desperate to lose a few pounds fast, “The 48 hour panic diet” may be just what you need:

DAY ONE

7:30am On waking, have a glass of hot water with lemon and a chunk of ginger, which will raise your metabolism for the rest of the day.

8:00am Get out there and walk! Exercising before breakfast is the optimal time of day because your body is already in a fat burning mode from the night’s sleep.

9:15am Switch coffee and tea for water. Ditching caffeine and glugging lots of water will flush out your system and help prevent cellulite.
