An online food diary – track what you eat

If you’re on a weight loss diet, one of the best tools you can use is a food journal. You simply enter everything you eat into the journal, and over time, your journal helps you to become more aware of your eating habits.

However, keeping a food journal is difficult. You need to carry it with you. Sometimes you won’t have your journal handy. At other times, you’re too busy and forget to write down that cookie or that soda.

Tweetwhatyoueat to the rescue.

You simply join the Twitter service, if you haven’t done it already, and friend TWYE.

From the site :

“How does it work?
Tweetwhatyoueat is a Twitter user just like you! On Twitter, the web app Tweetwhatyoueat.com is the user ‘TWYE.’ The magic behind this site works the following way:

You make friends with ‘TWYE’ through Twitter. Simply tweet or twit ‘follow twye.’
‘TWYE’ then makes friends with you. In order for that to happen, you must follow the setup steps.
You then send direct messages to TWYE with food items you’ve eaten like this, ‘d twye yogurt cup.’
Tweetwhatyoueat.com checks the direct messages going to the TWYE account at regular intervals and parses and stores the contents and displays them in your diary.”

This is a private service – no one else sees your tweets to TWYE.

Try it – it solves the journal hassle.
