Now it’s time to commit to weight loss. Write these sentences on a piece of paper, and sign it. “I can lose weight. I will look and feel great as I lose weight, and I’m looking forward to all the changes in my life.”

Writing down your commitment makes it real for you. Please do this exercise, and date the slip of paper. Put it into your wallet, or somewhere else you can find it again.

Just by writing those few sentences, you’ve developed a “Yes I can!” mindset. Remember how great it feels to commit to a positive attitude.

3. Persistence Plus a Positive Attitude Wins

Read the sentences you’ve written on the paper several times a day for the next week. Before the week is out, you’ll have found the perfect diet for you. You may choose a popular diet, or you may decide that since weight loss starts and ends with eating less, you’ll do that.

Remember “Yes I can!” and start applying this mind set in other areas of your life. When you’re asked to do something challenging at work, say yes. Apply your new “Yes I can” attitude as much as possible.

Persist with “Yes I can!” — say it silently to yourself throughout each day, and daydream about how you’ll look and feel when you’ve lost weight each night.

4. Be on Your Own Side — You’re the Best

Developing and maintaining a “Yes I can!” attitude ensures that you stay on your own side, and become your own best friend.

This will be a brand new feeling for you, as you slowly realize that you’re the best you can be already, and that you can lose weight, and feel good about yourself.

A positive attitude ensures your weight loss success, and you can develop it very easily. Remember: “Yes I can!”
