Be sure to notice the quality of the equipment: Do the scales shriek? Are there medical records in plain view? Are medical (such as blood sampling equipment) and other wastes disposed of properly?

You may not be able to get all of these questions answered during your first visit. However, you should be able to determine whether this is a high quality weight-loss clinic or a fly-by-night organization. Is this a place you would enjoy visiting week after week?

At some time during your first visit to a weight-loss clinic, you will be given cost and financing information. Read over the information carefully and be sure you understand it before you sign on the dotted line.
