Firstly decide that you’ll stop dieting. Give your body a rest. You’ll find that if you make sensible food choices and eliminate junk food from your diet, you will in many cases lose weight automatically. The pounds that you’re piling on come directly from the sodas, doughnuts, and other junk you eat.

2. Learn to Manage Your Stress

Stress causes many people to gain weight. This may because you comfort-eat, but it may also be because you’re not sleeping enough. Stress disrupts the smooth functioning of your body’s systems, and leads to health problems, of which weight gain is probably the least serious.

You can manage your stress, very easily. Amazingly the best way to manage stress is also a way which will help you to get off the dieting merry-go-round: exercise. When you exercise each day you burn off the stress hormones which are coursing through your body. At the end of an exercise session you’ll feel much more relaxed and you’ll be well on the way to losing weight too.

If you know that stress is a real issue for you, consider yoga. Yoga is a great way to eliminate stress from your life permanently.

3. Set Goals for All Areas of Your Life

Sometimes when we’re overweight, we can imagine that if we only could lose weight, all our problems would be solved. This is nonsense of course. You’ll still have all the problems that you’ve had before but you’ll skinnier.

Focusing on your weight loss alone can create problems in other areas of your life.

Start focusing on your life as a whole and decide to improve your life by setting goals, rather than simply focusing on the weight loss.
