Eat Stop Eat: the "no diet" way to lose weight for good -- and keep it off

Lose more weight: count the calories in what you’re drinking

by angela.booth on May 11, 2009

Are you counting the calories in what you’re drinking?

Many of us don’t. That glass of juice is good for us, so those calories don’t count, we think. Unfortunately, they do.

Liquid Calories Count – Debunking 10 Myths About Dieting – TIME reports on what you’re drinking and how the calories mount up:

“For example, that can of soda you drink each morning is the calorie equivalent of a piece of fruit and a slice of toast, about 150 calories. A smoothie can run up to an extra 500 to 1,000 calories despite all the good stuff added in, and a 16-ounce latte with whole milk packs 260 calories. “

Drink water — no calories. :-)
