Weight loss and dieting: your “natural” weight

by angela.booth on May 18, 2009

Are you trying to meet some arbitrary weight loss goal?

You may be fighting against your own biology.

Excerpt: ‘The Skinny: On Losing Weight Without Being Hungry’ – ABC News reports:

“At some point, as you lose weight, your body will fight back. It will defend your weight, and if you try to battle your body at this point, you’ll end up feeling extremely hungry despite choosing the most filling foods and plateau anyway because your metabolism will slow. Trying to fight against this biology is like trying to push a car uphill. “

If you feel as if your weight loss is a constant battle, it might be time to assess the weight your own body chooses for you — maybe you’re already at the weight you need to be.
